DayTraining
At PAWZ Enrichment Center, we use a new standard of care called Daytraining.
The goal of Daytraining is enrichment and focus, more structure (mental and physical options once reserved primarily for kids), more interaction with staff, and more fun for everyone in a safe environment.
Daytraining incorporates the following elements and benefits:
-
Smaller playgroups that allow for a higher quality of play for shorter periods of time and everyone is safer from the possible fall out of large group over arousal. Many dogs prefer the company of just a few close, trusted dog friends. When they are in a larger group, they may become stressed and display some aggressive behaviors or they might simply retreat into a corner to get away from the excitement.
-
More breaks for the dogs which allows them to get the quality rest they need to be emotionally healthy and able to interact with the family when they go home. Dogs must be crate trained.
-
Individual activities/play sessions based on the dog & owner’s needs and desires. This higher quality of interaction with staff provides each dog with much needed attention and the staff get to connect with each dog in a deeper way.
Activities during the day include:
Regular Potty Breaks
Puzzle/Game Treat Toys
Chill Times
Inside and Outside:
Individual/Group Sessions
